Position Summary
The person in this role will be responsible for managing Business Process Management (BPM) projects, trainings and coaching sessions. Within these responsibilities, this role requires the ability to proactively identify and communicate improvement opportunities through research and customer feedback to continuously meet the growing needs of Kaplan and its students.
Essential Functions
- Manages personal, team and individual BPM initiatives through project management, training, coaching sessions and continued support to participants.
- Manages all documentation created by and for the BPM team. Management of documentation may include, but is not limited to, the cataloging of documents, the improvement of existing material, and the support of material development and programs, which will lead to improved organizational efficiencies and effectiveness.
- Serves as the administrator of the BPM SharePoint team site. This includes overseeing how team project documents are stored within the team site.
- Aids in literature research in support of strategic and tactical process improvement efforts. These efforts may include, but are not limited to, internet searches, benchmarking, document searches, patent/copyright, academic, and compliance/regulatory researches.
- Provides documentation and status reporting of the aforementioned activities and other activities. Other activities may include, but are not limited to, project status, project queues, and project dashboards.
- Successful completion of process improvement projects within the BPM/DMADD/DMAIC disciplines, ensuring Compliance with all internal and external entities.

Growth Opportunities:
Upon maturing in this position, the Process Improvement Analyst will complete Greenbelt/Blackbelt certification. Certification carries the responsibility of proactively researching and addressing issues that will be reported to business decision makers. This individual will initiate recommendations in the most expedient manner, using the most effective methodology.
The incumbent is expected to draw upon acquired working knowledge of organizational goals and shall be looked to for future recommendations concerning specific job functions. Moreover, as the organizational impact of this position expands, this role could grow to include developing and implementing a knowledge/content management system to further support the Process Improvement Team.
Qualifications:
Experience Required:
- Bachelors Degree Required; Masters preferred
- Three to five years of directly related corporate experience required.
- Project Management experience is required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Visio, Project, Word and PowerPoint is required
- Working knowledge of Access, SharePoint, and Lexis Nexus knowledge is strongly recommended
- BPM/Process Design/Business Development experience is required
- Six Sigma/Lean Management experience is strongly recommended
- Proven ability to work well with others in a fast paced environment is required
- Demonstrated increase in duties and responsibilities over the length of professional career is required
- Proven ability to present clearly and effectively to groups is required
