Analyst – Business Intelligence & Analytic Strategies will interact with all areas of Commercial Finance including management on a regular basis. This position will also interact with staff from other Toyota Financial Services (TFS) departments that interact with Commercial Finance. Specific interactions include:
- Gathering information from business staff to identify and document areas of decision support needs
- Leading and participating in cross functional teams to implement projects
- Advocating and providing expert knowledge to business staff helping drive acceptance and use of BI and analytics
- Communicating results to business staff, supporting business decisions
Key components of this role will include:
- Develop Business Intelligence and Analytics Strategies
- Implement BI and Analytics
- Provide Decision Support
- Implement analytics projects within Commercial Finance, including predictive models for pricing, residuals, credit loss, and others
- Liaison with and ensure appropriate involvement from all appropriate groups during projects including TFS Business Technology Solutions (BTS), TFS SAP Center of Excellence, TFS Finance, and others
- Actively participate as an analytics and BI advocate and expert on teams to help promote the development of an “analytics and BI culture” within Commercial Finance
- Integrate data from various sources including on system and off system sources
- Compile and communicate results via presentations and supporting documentation as appropriate
- Ensure appropriate buy-in from all parts of the organization for presentations and other communications
- Educate Commercial Finance staff on standardized reporting and analytical tools
- 5+ years of combined experience in quantitative discipline (finance, statistics, econometrics), customer strategy, strategic marketing, or strategic planning
- Understanding of the automotive or financial services industries is preferred
- Strong understanding of data warehouse design and query logic
- Project management expertise
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Excellent problem solving skills with high degree of creativity
Education:
- BA/BS required
- MBA or other masters preferred
Software Expertise:
- Microsoft Office Suite – Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access
- Lotus Notes helpful
- Business Intelligence Software (Hyperion, Business Objects, MicroStrategy, Cognos, SAS)
- Any ERP helpful – SAP BI preferred
- SQL queries
